Art
Art promotes creativity and is extremely important to a child development. Art also benefits a child’s physical, emotional and mental well-being. Motor and develop, self esteem and visual processing are just a few of the benefits of art making at a young age. At Learning bridge we offer a variety of art experiences to promote a child’s creative side. Paper, scissors, glue crayons and markers along with various glueing materials are available for use at any time.
Pretend Play
Pretend play helps support social and emotional development. It encourages imagination and creativity and helps a child think for themselves. Through role playing children can learn to be different people and practice social and emotional roles in their life. We provide various items for role playing. Throughout the year our pretend play will switch to all sorts of things. Some favourites are vet hospital, store and the beach.
Block Area
Our block area focus on such skill sets as taking turns, sharing materials developing new friendships, cooperation and self esteem. Imaginations will be sparked as children follow their own plan and share their visions through play and construction.
Learning Carpet/Library
Our learning carpet is a place for important social interactions, movement and spirited learning. Regular circle time promotes community building, social and emotional skills and language development. Our curriculum is rich with music and games which encourage learning news skills through play.
